Actor Dan Mello

Dan Mello Actor HeadshotDan MelloDan began his professional career while studying theatre in Tucson, Arizona. He portrayed Sully in “Three Amigos” and appeared in “Desperado” and “The Wraith.” Dan also performed his own stunts in all three films. While in Arizona he studied privately with Anne Risely of SNL and appeared in several of her productions – as Jerry in “Lovers and Other Strangers,” as Jim in “The Glass Menagerie” and as King Phillip in “The Lion in Winter.”

He moved to Chicago and worked on the NBC network series “Third Edition” and the CBN cable series “The Assumption” while completing a two-year conservatory program at the Steven Ivcich Professional Studio. His Chicago theatrical credits include offloop productions as Thomas in “Maria’s Secret” and as Chris in “All My Sons.”

Dan moved to New York City, where he completed a two-year program at the William Esper Studio, working extensively with Suzanne Esper.  He has also studied with and been directed by Angie Montalbano (casting director, NYC) and Jack Pogi (theatrical actor, director and professor at Columbia University, NYC).  He appeared as a detective on “All My Children” and as an attorney on the television series “Damages”.

Dan now lives in the Bay Area and has studied with and has performed for Shari Carlson at the Shari Carlson Studio in San Francisco.

Dan has completed two triathlons, six marathons, has completed 20 freefall jumps and is an avid racquetball and softball player.
